Faculty & Research

The Finance faculty at FSU are well recognized for producing high quality, innovative research, with several members being acknowledged as worldwide experts in their fields. Presently, faculty are working in a variety of financial areas, including corporate, portfolio management, capital markets, hedging, financial institutions, payment systems, behavioral, international, and simulations.

The department boasts three Eminent Scholar Chairs, seven Endowed Professors , and one University Named Professor, from a total of 19 full-time faculty.

Our faculty have taken their doctoral degrees from some of the finest graduate schools in the country, including recently from Indiana University, University of Texas-Austin, University of Maryland, University of Pennsylvania (Wharton School of Business), University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, University of Iowa, Ohio State University, Virginia Tech (VPI), and City University of New York (Baruch College).

In addition, we are proud that our faculty, known for being active in a wide spectrum of scholarly research, also maintain a reputation in the College and the University as having among the most well respected teachers on campus, according to student evaluations and University commendations.
