Job Opening in Management Information Systems
The Florida State University College of Business invites applications for one tenure-track position on the Management Information Systems (MIS) faculty. All ranks will be considered. The anticipated starting date for the appointment is the fall semester 2012. For those applying for the rank of Assistant Professor, a degree in Management Information Systems by the starting date is preferred. All applicants should provide evidence of high-quality teaching experience. Applicants whose research is compatible with or complementary to the existing MIS faculty research agendas will be preferred. The existing MIS faculty research tends to be more organizational, behavioral, and social in nature rather than technical. In all cases, a research agenda with evidence of high-quality research publications and the potential for continued productivity is preferred. Starting salary is negotiable. The position is open until filled.
The MIS program is located in the Management Department and offers degrees at all levels. The undergraduate and doctoral degree programs are offered at the main campus in Tallahassee, Florida. The MS in MIS is an online only program. The department also offers classes in the MBA and other graduate programs. The normal teaching load is two courses in the Fall and Spring semesters. Applicants are encouraged to explore the FSU College of Business web site for more information about the College of Business and the MIS program.
