Undergraduate Programs
The Marketing Department offers two undergraduate majors within the Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree program:
Marketing Major
Marketing in today's economy involves the creation and delivery of value (through goods, services, information, ideas, or other products) in order to satisfy the needs and wants of both customers (consumers and organizations) and the organization. As a FSU marketing major, you will study topics including marketing strategy, consumer behavior, service operations, and market research techniques to learn how today's organizations create and deliver good value. Marketing graduates are employed by a wide variety of organizations from consumer products companies, to major retailers, to a wide range of service providers, to sports and entertainment firms. For more information on the marketing major, please contact Dr. Mike Brady, Chair of the Marketing Department.
Professional Sales Major
The professional sales major offers a specialized curriculum designed for students who want to start their careers in professional positions in a selling environment. Through coursework, role-playing, and real-world exposure to selling concepts, FSU professional sales majors are prepared for sales and sales management positions in all types of organizations and industries. For more information on the professional sales major, please contact Pat Pallentino, Director of the Professional Selling Program.
