Undergraduate Program

The Real Estate program offers a comprehensive curriculum that serves as a foundation for students seeking employment in real estate related enterprises. The primary objective of the program is to provide students with the analytical and critical thinking skills necessary to enter the real estate industry. More specifically, the program aims to equip students for entry-level positions in mortgage banking and institutional lending, real estate brokerage and leasing, appraisal and investment consulting, real estate investment and development activities, corporate real estate, or real estate positions within government agencies.

Established in the early 1970s in response to the rapidly growing employment opportunities in real estate, today the program at FSU is one of the largest and most successful programs in the nation.

Master's of Business Administration with Real Estate Specialization

The Florida State University Online MBA offers a rigorous set of flex courses focused on real estate finance and analysis. Prepare yourself to deal with the ever changing marketplace while advancing your management skills.

The program is designed to ground your expertise in real estate finance through lessons in primary and secondary market operations, mortgage-related securities, and commercial mortgage analysis. Foundational and advanced methods used to value income-producing property are presented, and the procedures used in evaluate real estate investments are applied. Understand how real estate assets, including securitized assets, are evaluated within the investment portfolio.

Graduate Certificate Program in Real Estate Development

This unique program offers graduate students in Urban and Regional Planning and the College of Business the opportunity to pursue interdisciplinary coursework related to real estate development. The program is meant to help students understand the critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to making sound real estate and community development decisions.

Doctoral Program Support

The real estate program serves as a support area for doctoral students in risk management / insurance, finance, economics, and other areas interested in pursuing advanced studies in real estate. Real estate faculty members routinely serve on the doctoral committees of students pursuing a support area in real estate, related research, or as outside committee members.
