With two eminent scholars and numerous professorships, the robust Risk Management and Insurance, Real Estate, and Legal Studies Department is dedicated to developing our students into successful professionals. Whether through the academic rigor of our programs or through providing meaningful contacts offering a plethora of experience and knowledge, we are committed to providing a full education to our students so that they will be prepared when growing in their careers.
The undergraduate program in risk management and insurance at Florida State University, established in the 1940s, is consistently ranked among the top programs in the nation. The program is designed to provide students with an overall background in risk management, life and health insurer operations and products; property and casualty operations and products; financial planning; and employee benefits. Historically, the placement rate for graduates of the program has been excellent.
The Real Estate Program at FSU is among the most successful real estate major programs in the nation, currently comprising over 350 majors. The goal of the program is to prepare and place graduates in a wide variety of real estate-related disciplines.
