MBA/MSW Joint Degree
The MBA/MSW joint-degree program is collaboration between on-campus Master of Social Work program in the College of Social Work and the part-time/evening Master of Business Administration program in the College of Business. The joint graduate degree is designed for students in both programs who wish to expand their understanding of the connection between these two fields of study and gain expertise working in social services agencies. Students must have exceptional work experience and academic qualifications to be admitted into this program. The program is a Tallahassee campus-based program.
The credit hours for Advanced Standing social policy and administration (SPA) social work students would total 33 and for business administration students, there would be 33 hours for a total of 66 hours. Normally the number of credit hours for the MSW is 58 and the MBA is 33 for a total of 91 hours. Those SPA students who are in the Traditional MSW program (58 credit hours) or the clinical concentration may be eligible for this joint degree, but will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants must meet the admissions requirements of both the College of Business and the College of Social Work. Acceptable GMAT and GRE scores are required.
The joint MBA/MSW program admits students in the fall term only (late August). The final application deadline for the submission of ALL application materials for this program is May 1.
