The Undergraduate Programs Office and Advising Center strives to provide all business students with accurate information regarding academic matters in a friendly and timely manner. Academic advisors in the College of Business are here to assist students with developing and implementing academic planning to support them in attaining their educational and professional goals. COB advisors want to foster the advising relationship to ensure students are aware of the resources and opportunities available to them at The Florida State University. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Walk-in Advising
The office has open advising hours from 9:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday. We do not assign specific students to specific advisors, so you can see an advisor at anytime during the walk-in advising hours. This system will allow you to get answers to your questions quickly. When planning your course schedule for future semesters, it is best to see an advisor early, before the registration period begins. When registration windows open, the office is very busy. Reduce your wait time by seeking advice early.
E-mail Advising
If you have a short question, there is no need to come to the office. Send an e-mail message to ugprog@cob.fsu.edu. Be sure to include your full name in the e-mail message. Your message will be answered promptly by an advisor.
Appointments
Common questions and routine course scheduling issues are most appropriate for walk-in advising. Appointments should be scheduled only for more serious issues that require the assistance of the director. To schedule an appointment with the director stop in RBB 328 or call 644-3892.
