Management Information Systems

Our information economy has created the need for a new set of managerial skills and competencies focused around the appropriate use of information technology as a key enabler of business success. The MIS degree provides students with both business and technical knowledge to be effective in today's economic environment.

Due to the dynamic nature of the MIS field, all students should verify the current MIS major requirements with the MIS undergraduate advisor upon entry to the major. Students are also encouraged to check the MIS department's Frequently Asked Questions page for answers to common questions.

The management information systems (MIS) major is a limited access program. To be admitted to the MIS major, a student must meet the admission requirements for limited access programs in business.
