Hall of Fame

Established in 2003, the College of Business Hall of Fame honors and celebrates individuals who embody the qualities that make the College of Business at Florida State University an extraordinary place to learn and grow. The inductees are College of Business alumni who have excelled in their careers and have made significant contributions to the mission of the College of Business.

The eleventh annual induction ceremony will be held in Spring 2013, at the Augustus B. Turnbull III Florida State Conference Center in Tallahassee, Fla. Tickets to the College of Business Hall of Fame, a black-tie optional event, are $75 per person. 

Criteria for Selection

Hall of Fame candidates are selected based on their record of exceptional professional and personal achievement. Recipients must be present at the Hall of Fame ceremony in order to be inducted. Candidates cannot be inducted posthumously.The criteria include:

• Graduated from the FSU College of Business (any degree)
• Exceptional Career Background
• Significant Professional Recognitions (Industry/Association awards)
• Community Involvement and Recognition
• Service to the College of Business and Florida State University

Since its founding in 2003, 26 individuals have been honored for their accomplishments.The following exceptional business leaders were inducted into the 2011 College of Business Hall of Fame at The Florida State University:

Tim Cole has a reputation as a leader with a clear vision and an uncanny ability to cut through the clutter and laser focus on “needle-moving” activities.

With a passion for education and commitment to excellence, Dr. William T. Hold has built one of the largest, most recognized insurance education organizations in the world.

J. Michael Pate has been an untiring and effective leader and a welcome presence in Florida’s capital city, as well as a devout alumnus of FSU.
