Thomas Howell Ferguson presents the John Perry Thomas Accounting Speaker Series
The Thomas Howell Ferguson presents the John Perry Thomas Accounting Speaker Series is designed to offer a sequence of workshops featuring a guest speaker in the fall and spring semesters to the College of Business Accounting Department’s faculty and students. The speaker series will also be available for employees of Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A., as well as FSU master’s of accounting students, undergraduate students and students involved in Beta Alpha Psi.
John Perry Thomas, a graduate of Florida State and former instructor, is a leading expert in both accounting and business. During his career, he has acted as a member and leader in both the Florida Institute of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. As a member of the AICPA Board of Directors, AICPA Council, Auditing Standards Board and the FASB Advisory Council, Thomas has been involved with establishing current accounting standards and guidelines to serving as a pioneer and advocate for CPAs. Thomas is one of the founding members and former managing partner of the Tallahassee CPA firm, Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A.
After each workshop, students and Thomas Howell Ferguson staff will have an opportunity to network, furthering the opportunity for students to engage themselves in the accounting industry prior to graduating.
