What Is WiB?

We are a student organization, housed in the College of Business that is open to all students and majors. The organization serves as a developmental education and networking tool between students, faculty, staff, and business professionals alike.

Women in Business provides members with the opportunity to learn from distinguished speakers who are leaders across the business, political, and non-profit fields.

History

The Florida State University College of Business Student Leadership Council began "Women in Business" to both promote an awareness of the dynamic role of women in today's business environment and establish a forum for developing a critical discourse of that role. The organization serves as a developmental education and networking tool between students, faculty, staff, and business professionals alike. Throughout the year, the organization hosts guest speakers, workshops, community service activities, and professional social activities to facilitate unique networking and learning opportunities. Each spring, FSU Women in Business holds a conference allowing students and alumnae to come together and hear from distinguished speakers who are leaders across the business, political, and non-profit fields.

Mission

The Women in Business Organization will serve as the most influential networking and educational organization in the College of Business at Florida State University. The organization will strive to improve each year, unifying the most ambitious students, faculty, staff, and business professionals.
