MSM new master's degree

The Department of Marketing at Florida State University has launched a Master of Science in Marketing (MSM) Program effective Spring 2011. The MSM Program will have two paths to completion: 1) A standalone MSM Program and 2) A combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Program for top undergraduate students in the Marketing or Professional Sales majors. The overall theme of both programs is Corporate Reputation Management.

The unique context of the program (Corporate Reputation Management), along with considerable employment opportunities, enables FSU students to obtain a graduate degree in Marketing without having to relocate. Recent trends in the marketing and business environment have caused organizations to look at more closely at their marketing and branding efforts. It is no longer possible to consider customers to be the sole target for marketing activities. Today, firms must take a 360-degree view of the firm and engage in marketing activities that manage the firm’s reputation among a variety of key stakeholders (i.e., customers, employees, government, media, society). The MSM Program will allow top undergraduates and MBA students to gain the needed training in this area.
