Dean's Brief, 1300 Days

Hello! I hope this Dean’s Brief finds you enjoying the beginning of fall. For us, fall means 6,000 new freshmen trying to find their way on campus, 6,100 College of Business students scrambling to get the courses they need and the excitement of Seminole football and women’s soccer. It also means a plethora of events for students and alumni. Already we have hosted our second annual New COB Student Welcome Event, Entrepreneurship Day (E-Day), Hospitality Women’s Leadership Symposium and several events with alumni across the country. We’re also working to absorb budget cuts and make strategic decisions about the College’s future. This year will bring many changes to the university and our goal is to ensure that the College is positioned to thrive in a new environment. I, along with all the students, faculty and staff, appreciate all you do for the College and look forward to seeing many of you at the various College-sponsored events.
