HSMAI NE Florida Chapter
Hosts FSU Hospitality Students

The Northeast Florida Chapter is pleased to announce four Florida State University Dedman School of Hospitality students will be in Jacksonville on Monday, May 7th to participate in the first "Shadow Day" with area hospitality sales and marketing industry professionals.

Participating Hospitality students will "shadow" an industry professional for the morning of May 7th and then gather with other industry colleagues for lunch and the opportunity for a discussion of career paths, networking tips, and opportunities.

HSMAI NE FL Chapter Needs Your Help!

Please consider hosting one of the four students for the morning of May 7th at your property or location! This is a great way to give back to the industry as well as keep in touch with the future of our profession!

The HSMAI NE FL Chapter is also looking for a host for the Luncheon on May 7th -- a buffet for 12-15 persons.

To host a student or the luncheon meeting, see contact information below. The primary contact for "Shadow Day" is Brenna Dacks who currently serves as the liaison between the Chapter and the FSU Hospitality students who are working to develop an HSMAI Collegiate Chapter at FSU. The HSMAI NE Florida Chapter thanks you in advance for your support of these students and their desire to learn, network and be a part of our industry!

Learning is finding out that you already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know just as well as you do. You are all learners, teachers, and doers. ~ Richard Bach

To assist in this very worthwhile project on May 7th, please contact Brenna Dacks with VISIT FLORIDA who is spearheading "Shadow Day."

You can reach her at bdacks@visitflorida.org or by phone at 619-0379.
