PGM Degree Requirements


Students in the PGM major must meet the following requirements in order to graduate with the Professional Golf Management designation:

  • Must meet all course requirements for the Dedman School of Hospitality, College of Business, and Florida State University
  • Must pass the Player Ability Test (PAT) conducted by the PGA
  • Must complete the PGA/PGM work experience books for levels 1, 2, and 3
  • Must pass PGA/PGM Checkpoint Tests for levels 1, 2, and 3
  • Must attend Checkpoint Seminars for levels 1, 2, and 3
  • Must complete 16 months of internships at an approved facility
  • Must complete PGA/PGM approved electives
  • Must adhere to all PGM policies and procedures, as well as the University Code of Conduct
