Getting Started

The following information is needed to complete your FSU graduate application. Please review this application checklist to determine what will be submitted online and what you must mail to Florida State University. All prospective applicants should confirm the completion of the prerequisite business foundation courses or equivalent prior to application submission (not applicable for online program.)

 

Application Checklist:

The following information is provided to clarify the application procedures for MBA programs in The College of Business.

I. The following two items should be sent directly to FSU

• University Application for Admission to a Graduate Program (available exclusively online https://admissions.fsu.edu/gradapp/)
• Nonrefundable application fee of $30.00 (see University Application)

II. The following three items should be sent to the Admissions office

• Two official transcripts from all schools attended
• Florida Resident Affidavit (see University Application or http://admissions.fsu.edu/images/pdf/residency.pdf)
• Official TOEFL Score Report (required of international applicants whose native language is not English, regardless of academic background)

III. The following items should be sent directly to the FSU College of Business through the online admissions application

• Applicant Statement
• An up-to-date resume, clearly indicating work experience including dates and positions held, as well as noting full-time or part-time employment
• Three (3) recommendations from former college professors or employers (please use the provided letter of recommendation forms)
  (Please note: Online students submit only two (2) recommendations!)

• Official GMAT scores and, if applicable, a copy of TOEFL scores

International applicants should visit http://admissions.fsu.edu/intl/graduate.htm for information concerning financial responsibilities, degree equivalency, etc.

Prerequisite Business Foundation Courses

All applicants must complete specific business foundation courses with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better prior to enrollment in the MBA program. Relevant work experience may serve as a substitute for one or more of these courses. The College of Business Associate Dean for Graduate Programs must approve this substitution. Specific requests for waivers or substitutions must be submitted in writing to the Graduate Office.
