Paul Harlacher
Paul Harlacher is no stranger to hard work.
Harlacher knows that pursuing an MBA at Florida State University is “going to cost something” on his part, but he also knows that all that hard work and sacrifice are just the price he pays for such an important and invaluable learning experience.
A full-time employee of FSU’s University Business Administrators Program, Harlacher spends his work days working with finance and administration at the College of Business. Two nights a week, he attends classes as a part-time MBA student.
Somewhere in between, Harlacher manages to spend time with his wife and two young children. But, he admits, the pressures of work, school and family can make it difficult to find the right balance. He faces the challenge unflinchingly.
Harlacher decided to pursue an MBA because he was looking for “multidiscipline training” in areas like accounting, finance and marketing. He hopes to learn more about the different aspects of his everyday work in finance and administration, and to find more specific aspects of his field that interest him. He hopes this will help him to find the right direction for his future.
“If it was easy, everybody would be doing it,” Harlacher said. Despite the difficulties, all of Harlacher’s hard work and sacrifice are about to pay off: He expects to achieve his MBA this semester.
