Don't stop learning - Carsten Jacobi

Carsten Jacobi has traveled the world, and he’s found that Florida State University offers exactly what he’s looking for in an MBA program.

“At Florida State, everything fit well for me. It’s the perfect mix of academics and sports. I wanted the ultimate college experience in the United States, and Florida State offers the accelerated program, the marketing and supply chain major that I was looking for, and on top of all that, it’s got Florida weather,” Jacobi said.

Jacobi decided to come to the United States for a graduate degree after spending some of his high school career as a foreign exchange student in Columbus, Ohio. “It’s always a tough decision to move to another continent, to leave family and friends,” Jacobi said, but now that he’s made the decision to pursue an MBA at Florida State, the biggest challenge has been time management.

“You’re not going to get to do everything,” he said, in reference to the struggles of balancing an internship, an assistantship, and a full course load. But after completing an undergraduate internship with a paper wholesaler in the U.K., and undergraduate senior thesis work doing digital marketing and customer research with the Toyota F1 racing team, Jacobi knows the balancing act well.

“You have to prioritize, but don’t stop learning,” Jacobi said.
