I like the fact that you get to know people in the program and you work in groups. - Lauren WillattLauren Willatt

Lauren Willatt knows that Florida State University’s MBA program is just the place to turn her impressive range of undergraduate interests into a practical skill set for her career.

After an undergraduate experience that included time spent studying abroad and a heavy course load in mathematics, Willatt found herself looking for a program that not only matched her intense ambitions, but also saw her as an individual.

“I like the fact that you get to know people in the program, and that you work in groups,” Willatt said.

She’s also applied her MBA experiences to her current work with the State Board of Administration, a group that manages investment funds.

Willatt plans to take part in a school-sponsored trip to Chile in 2009. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I want to learn how businesses in Chile operate, and to be exposed to a different way of doing business,” Willatt said.

Willatt knows all these experiences are helping her develop the skills she needs to succeed. “FSU's MBA program, as well as my internship, have expanded my knowledge, created networks, and increased my professionalism,” she said.
