Reducing Risks
Obviously there are risks in starting your own business. How do you reduce
these risks? Here are a few of the primary techniques that entrepreneurs can
use to reduce the risk of starting their own business.
- Do as much homework as possible about the type of business and industry that
you are considering.
- Look into franchising, as the risk here is a lot less than starting your
business from scratch.
- Talk to some existing business owners that will not be competing with you
to get their thoughts on how you should run your business.
- Take as many short courses as you can to gain an insight into your business.
- Complete a venture feasibility
study.
