MARKETING AND MULTINATIONAL BUSINESS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Introduction
The dynamic nature of marketing and multinational business requires more than
good grades to succeed. For that reason, we strongly encourage students
to pursue internship opportunities as a way to round out their educational experience. Students
not only gain valuable experience, they also expand their network of contacts. Employers
typically want to hire students who have taken their learning beyond the classroom.
The Internship Program
Our program is designed to help students identify short-term paid or unpaid internship
positions in a variety of firms. Additionally, we strive to make it easy
for employers to locate interested students in their locale. Although
internship positions are listed throughout the year, most students seek summer
internships. An important note: Internships may be used as elective
credit only. Internships do not substitute for required coursework in the
marketing or multinational business degree programs.
To Participate
Undergraduate students seeking an intern position should contact Dr. Mike Showalter,
director of our department’s undergraduate internship program. MBA
Students should contact Mrs. Shawn Winship. Employers who wish to post
an internship position should complete the employer
submission form giving a brief description of the position as well as contact
information.
