Note: The Multinational Business Operations major is a limited access program. To be admitted to the Multinational Business Operations major, a student must meet the admission requirements for limited access programs in business. These requirements are described in a separate handout titled Admission Requirements for College of Business Limited Access Programs.

Lower-level Prerequisites for Multinational Majors: Students must earn a "C-" or better in each course. All of these courses, except ACG 2071, must be completed prior to admission to the Multinational major.

MULBUS Major Area Requirements: The MULBUS Major Area includes four (4) components: Foreign Language, Area Studies Courses, Study Abroad Experience, and Multinational Business Major Area Courses. Students must select a particular global interest area: Latin America, Europe, or the Far East. The foreign language courses, area study courses, and study abroad experience are required to provide students a background in the global interest area selected.
 
Foreign Language (up to 12 semester hours depending on initial course replacement): Students must complete a foreign language through the intermediate (2200 or equivalent) level. Students should choose the language based on their global interest area: Latin America - Spanish or Portuguese; Europe - Spanish or Portuguese, French, German, or Italian; Far East - Chinese (Mandarin) or Japanese. Students may choose another language with permission of the Program Director.
 
Area Studies Courses (12 semester hours): Students must complete four (4) Area Studies Courses from the approved course list for their selected global interest area. The Area Studies Courses complement the foreign language taken. The approved course list for Area Studies Courses is available as a separate sheet.
 
Study Abroad Experience: Students must complete at least 6 semester hours from a complementary FSU International Programs study abroad program (or other approved study abroad experience) located in their global interest area.

Additional Information:

1. In addition to the requirements outlined above, each student must complete all University-wide requirements for graduation. These requirements include liberal studies requirements, the multicultural requirement, the Gordon Rule writing requirement, the summer school requirement, the FSU residency requirement, and total hours requirements.

2. Transfer of upper-level business courses must be from business colleges at other 4-year, accredited institutions. These courses must carry prerequisites similar to those of the courses they are replacing, and they must be approved by the College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office. Once enrolled at FSU, students should not take any course at another institution without first receiving approval from the College of Business Undergraduate Programs Office.
