The Master Plan for September 2, 2008

Refine your resume

mh

Get your resume in order for the upcoming Corporate Networking Night. Attend an 11 a.m. Wednesday workshop on resume writing led by Myrna Hoover, program director for Career Placement Services, pictured, in Room 2202 of the Dunlap Success Center, 100 S. Woodward Ave See map.

Resumes must be uploaded in SeminoleLink before Monday, Sept. 22, to be included in the digital resume book sent to company recruiters for the Sept. 25 networking night. Access SeminoleLink through the “Secure Apps” tab in Blackboard.

Remember to pay tuition

Friday is the deadline to pay this semester’s tuition and fees, according to Scheri Martin, coordinator for on-campus graduate programs. Access the “Make a Payment” link through “Secure Apps” tab in Blackboard.

Step up to fight breast cancer

lt

Join the MBA Association team participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, Sept. 28, in the Southwood Town Center. All can sign up to walk, donate or both on the team’s homepage. For more information, contact Lauren Turner, MBAA philanthropy coordinator, pictured.

Check out new career center digs

The Dunlap Success Center, 100 S. Woodward Ave., is the new home of the FSU Career Center. Center employees Myrna Hoover and Debbie Crowder, who used to reside in 233 Rovetta Business Building, have moved to the center. Business students needing career services may still visit the center’s satellite office, 114B Rovetta Business Building, from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Ready for some football?

The MBA Association has set up block registration for home football games. Ryan Dietz, MBAA president, said interested students must first register for tickets at this Web site and join the MBAA group. Dietz says the MBA Association block’s name is “MBAA” with the password lowercase “mbaa.” This document explains the football ticket process.

The next ticket registration window opens today and runs through 8 a.m. Friday for next week’s home game, Sept. 13, against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Future ticket windows and instructions for away-game purchases can be found at the end of the student ticket Web site.
