CECALA INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

Alumnus Ted T. Cecala, B.S. '71, has been selected as one of three College of Business 2007 Hall of Fame inductees at Florida State University. Cecala is officially inducted into this prestigious group of business leaders on Saturday, April 21 at the Hall of Fame Dinner & Ceremony.

Cecala is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Wilmington Trust. He joined Wilmington Trust in 1979, and was elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in July 1996. During his tenure as CEO, Cecala has focused the company on three core businesses: Regional Banking, Wealth Advisory Services, and Corporate Client Services, and he has diversified the company's sources of revenue. Under his leadership, Wilmington Trust has expanded significantly by opening new offices in California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Vermont; establishing an international presence with offices in London, Dublin, the Channel Islands, and the Cayman Islands; and completing acquisitions that enhanced the company's investment management capabilities and other services for clients.

Cecala currently serves on the Federal Advisory Council, representing the Philadelphia Fed and the Third District, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Way of Delaware. He also serves as a member of the Board of Managers of Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, LLC and Roxbury Capital Management, LLC. Cecala is past President of the Delaware Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute, former Chairman of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, and a former board member of Delaware Business Roundtable, Junior Achievement of Delaware, and Geriatric Services of Delaware, Inc.

In 1971, Cecala graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in finance and accounting. He also has earned credentials as a Certified Public Accountant.

Established in 2003, the Hall of Fame honors and celebrates individuals who embody the qualities that make the College of Business an extraordinary place to learn and grow. Hall of Fame inductees have excelled in their careers and have made significant contributions, which continue to solidify the national reputation of the highly ranked FSU College of Business.
