FSU REAL ESTATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Suggested Guidelines for Participating Firms

• Provide a positive learning experience for the intern with an emphasis on information sharing and learning as opposed to apprentice-type training
• Provide ongoing, consistent, and positive supervision of the intern
• Provide the intern with a clear presentation of the rules and regulations regarding such matters as hours of work, holidays, pay schedule, etc..
• Whenever possible, allow the intern to attend various activities either as a participant or an observer
• To the extent possible, allow the intern maximum opportunity to become acquainted with the various phases of the organization
• Possibly provide an interim evaluation, as well as an evaluation of the intern at the end of the internship
