Information for Transfer StudentsThe admission requirements you must satisfy to transfer to FSU as a business student vary depending on the number of college level semester hours you will have earned prior to entering FSU. Note: If you are attending a Florida Community College, it is strongly recommended that you complete your AA degree before transferring to FSU. Transferring with 52 or more semester hours earned: If you transfer to FSU with 52 or more semester hours earned, you will enter FSU as an upper division business major. To transfer to FSU as a business student with 52 or more semester hours earned, you must satisfy the general FSU admission requirements for transfer students and the admission requirements for upper division business programs. To satisfy the business admission requirements, you must have completed ACG 2021 (Financial Accounting), CGS 2100 (Computer Applications), ECO 2013 (Macroeconomics), ECO 2023 (Microeconomics), MAC 2233 (Business Calculus), and STA 2023 (Statistics), or equivalent courses; and you must have an overall college level GPA of at least 2.90. Note: FSU's general admission requirements may require a higher GPA if you do not have an AA degree from a Florida Community College. Transferring with less than 52 semester hours earned: If you transfer to FSU with less than 52 semester hours earned, you will enter FSU as a Business Intent student. (Note: You will be considered for admission to an upper division business major after entering FSU, when you have earned at least 52 semester hours including your transferred hours.) To transfer to FSU as a business student with less than 52 semester hours earned, you must satisfy the general FSU admission requirements for transfer students and the Business Intent Academic Mapping Milestones below. Business Intent Academic Mapping Milestones for Transfer Students with less than 52 semester hours: Transferring after one semester at another institution (up to 15 semester hours earned): You must satisfy the general FSU admission requirements only. There are no additional Business Intent Academic Mapping Milestones. Transferring after two semesters at another institution (16 - 30 semester hours earned): You must have completed both Freshman English courses, MAC 1105 (College Algebra), and at least two of the following business prerequisite courses: ACG 2021 (Financial Accounting), CGS 2100 (Computer Applications), ECO 2013 (Macroeconomics), ECO 2023 (Microeconomics), MAC 2233 (Business Calculus), and STA 2023 (Statistics), or equivalent courses. You must have an overall college level GPA of at least 2.75. Note: FSU's general admission requirements may require a higher GPA. Transferring after three semesters at another institution (31 - 51 semester hours earned): You must have completed both Freshman English courses, MAC 1105 (College Algebra), MAC 2233 (Business Calculus), and at least three additional business prerequisite courses from: ACG 2021 (Financial Accounting), CGS 2100 (Computer Applications), ECO 2013 (Macroeconomics), ECO 2023 (Microeconomics), and STA 2023 (Statistics), or equivalent courses. You must have an overall college level GPA of at least 2.90. Note: FSU's general admission requirements may require a higher GPA.
